This was an extensive time consuming job. I ended up installing eight pins to stabilize this massive crack. The instrument was a very young Loree Royale oboe. 


Cleaning up someone's left behind mess.



Occasionally, repair techs have to clean up from a previous repair.  In this case, there was some sloppy soldering done on a vintage satin silver saxophone.  Removing the last layer of solder tinning is tricky, but possible.

Tone hole repair alternative



Filling in chipped out a tone hole chimney is a tedious job when you do not have all the tools necessary for a tone hole replacement.  Thankfully, CWBR has all the necessary tools for tone hole inserts.
